"Cystic Fibrosis. Living with that."
Simon's mouth twisted to the side a bit as he pondered this. "Well," he said at last, "my lungs are like roots: they give me air, but they keep me down. Even though I'm sick, they keep rattling on, they keep me alive, and the cost..." he gestured to his cannula, to his oxygen tank and his respirator, to his hospital bed and IV tubes, "the cost is my freedom. I'm trapped--just like the tree outside that window, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon."

Wow this really hits close to home, my ex and good friend suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. He said essentially the same thing about his condition. I am wiping away some tears while I write haha, wonderful art I really appreciate this.

Wow, I truly do hope he is okay, and I'm so glad I was able to handle the condition accurately. It's so underrepresented in the media and in literature and I just want to do its victims justice. :heart:

Wow, just wow, you never ces to amaze me! I feel like your artwork and writing gets better with every entry and the depth of emotion that you all ways manage to capture truly astonishes me. The graphic combined with the dialog here makes something really special in my opinion and I'm not sure why...
I know I leave you little comments and stuff all the time and it probably gets annoying but I can't help it! You're writing makes me feel things I don't usually feel from books and I eagerly await the day you're books are published so I can buy them and hold them in my hands!
